Services We Provide

Chris, Harry and their team provide a personal consultation to help you reach a customized zero food waste solution.  Food waste comes in many forms: liquids, food, by-products, out-of-spec products, and everything in between. Our expertise is promoting responsible and simplified opportunities that work best for you, while ultimately keeping the waste out of a landfill.

We have the infrastructure and technology to collect any volume of food waste, complete with depackaging services.

In 2019, we became an exclusive NY distributor for the WasteMaster, a joint partnership with GreenEco Technologies. Developed for a wide range of organizations generating high volumes of food waste, such as hospitals, food manufacturers and processors, hotels, universities, long-term care institutions and hospitality providers, the WasteMaster conversion system re-purposes food and organic waste as reusable resources, on site, without adding anything during the process. At the end of the conversion cycle, food waste is reduced in volume by up to 80% and has been transformed into a compost-like, odor-free residual material which will not attract insects or vermin in its dry state. By re-purposing food waste, WasteMaster contributes significantly to cleaner and safer waste collection and storage, while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with landfill. The WasteMaster range includes options for users with medium to high-volume food waste disposal requirements and the system can be easily installed on site as there is no requirement for piped water or sewerage services, just an electrical connection and an air outlet.

We provide totes for source-separated organics (perfect for grocery chains and cafeterias) as well as training for employees on what is and is not suitable in the totes.

We recycle or upcycle packaging (aluminum, shrink wrap, cardboard, glass, etc.) and pallets as well.

Certificate of destruction (COD) available.  When requested, we provide a COD that meets state and federal guidelines for clients to prove that their product has been disposed of correctly.

Meet the Founders

Harry Cohen

Waste disposal is in my blood; in fact one of the greatest joys in my life was to work side-by-side with my father. I want to give my children (three amazing boys: Solomon, Benjamin and Gabriel) the same opportunity: to work side-by-side with their father, while also learning to become good stewards of our planet. My hope is to one day leave a legacy that my children would be proud of, and to help others do the same. As a third generation solid waste and recycling professional, my family-based company was founded on the skills and values handed down from my grandfather to my father and then to me.

In 1930, my grandfather rented a horse and wagon for $2 a day and hit the streets peddling for rags, paper, metal, magazines and other resourceful items he could sell to the paper and steel mills. While technology and times have changed, our commitment to our clients and to advancing a sustainable environment has not. With more than 80 years of experience, we will help your company meet and exceed your recycling.  Our services don’t stop at picking up our signature Natural Upcycling totes; we also come in and educate your staff about what materials can be composted. Our customers also know that when they use our composting services they are doing something good for the planet.
